Andria McClellan is an American politician who is currently the Chair of the Hampton Roads Planning District Commission, where she serves as Chair of its Coastal Resilience Subcommittee and its Legislative Committee. Early life
Andria hasn’t revealed much about her early life and background, but it is known that she was born and raised in Virginia. Looking at her social media, she was born in 1973 as she is 48 years old, and was raised by her single mother although her name was not shared. She later attended an entrepreneurship program at Wharton and decided to advance in this field. Andria was involved in start-ups for a few years and developed perspectives for small businesses. She then ventured into public service and social work, assisting organizations with fundraising and helping innovative companies develop prospects and grow.
Her work was recognized and she was soon appointed chair of the Virginia Small Business Advisory Board and also soon joined the board of the Hampton Roads Technology Council to help budding entrepreneurs. In 2008, she entered politics and the local level, supporting Barak Obama’s campaign locally while becoming a civic leader herself. Later, in 2014, she became Commissioner of the Norfolk Planning Commission and served as Chair of the Advisory Board at Norfolk Public Schools. The following year she became vice chair of the Virginia Democratic Party and a member of the Hampton Road Advisory Board. She has also become a board member at organizations such as the Civic Leadership Institute and WHRO Public Media, of which she is currently a member.
Works as a Democrat
She is a founding member of the Democratic Business Alliance of South Hampton Roads, formed in 2016, and has served on the Virginia Small Business Advisory Board, Family, and Children’s Trust, and also served as co-chair of the Virginia Symphony Orchestra’s Search Committee. By 2018, she became a board member at 757 Accelerate Start-up and a board member at 757 Angels. She also became a board member of the UVA’s Center for Politics and a board member of the Sorensen Institute for Political Leadership.
In 2016 she also ran for the seat of the Super Ward of Norfolk City Council and won the election. She was named a Top 40 under 40 by Inside Business and a Local Hero by Bank of America. Andria is currently a member of many organizations, boards, and councils and a member of Norfolk City Council. She recently emerged as the Democratic Party’s candidate for lieutenant governor of Virginia.

Andria is currently married to her husband Mike but has not revealed anything about him. The couple has no details about their marriage and how they met.
