Danielle Fishel is an American actress, television personality, and director best known for her role as Topanga Lawrence-Matthews on the 1990s sitcom Boy Meets World. She also appeared in various films and television shows and directed several episodes of Girl Meets World, the sequel to Boy Meets World. In addition to her acting career, Fishel has developed into an advocate for women’s empowerment and a public speaker on a range of issues.
Early life
Danielle Fishel was born on May 5, 1981, in Mesa, Arizona. Her mother, Jennifer, is a personal manager, while his father, Rick, was the former president of the global medical technology company Masimo.
She received her education from Calabasas High School in California, where she graduated in 1999. Fishel did not initially attend college due to her acting job, but eventually returned and enrolled at California State University at Fullerton, where she graduated in 2013.

The following year, Fishel landed her best-known role as Topanga Lawrence on the ABC sitcom Boy Meets World. Although Topanga was intended as a supporting role, he quickly became a recurring character and became the main character in the second season.
Throughout the series, she was the greatest love interest of protagonist Cory Matthews, played by Ben Savage, with the two characters getting married shortly before the finale. Boy Meets World, which also starred Will Friedle and Rider Strong, lasted seven seasons and ended in the mid-2000s. Fishel returned as Topanga in the Disney Channel spin-off series Girl Meets World, which aired from 2014-2017.

After Boy Meets World, Fishel appeared in the TV movie Rocket’s Red Glare. She then guest-starred in episodes of the comedy Nikki and the children’s horror anthology series The Nightmare Room. In 2003, Fishel hosted the MTV game show “Say What?” Karaoke.”

Fishel made her big screen debut in 2001 as part of the full cast in the comedy Longshot. She then appeared in 2003’s National Lampoon Presents Dorm Daze. In the 2006 direct-to-video sequel National Lampoon’s Dorm Daze 2: College @ Sea, Fishel played the same character from the original film.
