Adam grew up in a family where golf was a popular pastime. As a child, he also watched his father, grandfather, and uncle play golf at the Country Club of Old Vincennes. Later, his parents built him a suitable sand wedge, with which he often practiced his games. When he wasn’t playing baseball or basketball, he was practicing his golf swing.
