The following year, Amanda led Texas A&M to their first Women’s College World Series appearance in 20 years with a stellar performance in 2007.
Despite her final high school season being cut short by an injury that left her playing, Scarborough posted an impressive record in 2008 with a .447 batting average, 4-2 as a pitcher, and a 2.27 ERA. She graduated In December of that year, he graduated from Texas A&M with a BA in Communications and has remained actively involved in Texas A&M softball. Scarborough served as an assistant during the 2009 season and became a volunteer pitching coach in 2010. In May 2011, she received her Masters in Sports Management.

In 2015, Scarborough became part of ESPN’s on-air team for the Women’s College World Series for the first time.
