Ashley Rogers, the ace of the Tennessee Lady Volunteers softball team, would be a star in the future. Having suffered multiple injuries in the past, she is enjoying what is likely to be the best season of her collegiate career in the NCAA.
She also received the Crawford Accent’ on Excellence Women’s Softball Endowed Scholarship. After her time at Meigs County High School in Decatur, Tennessee, she was #12 in FloSoftball’s Hot 100 2018 Recruiting Class.
Early life
Ashley Rogers is from Athens, Tennessee, and was born on June 5, 2000. She is the daughter of Loring and Lynda Rogers. Her father lost his life to a heart attack, which was the hardest thing for her to bear. Rogers attended Fairview High School and started playing softball.
During her high school years, her career was marked by her exceptional ability to hit batters. While in high school, she recorded an incredible 1,401 career strikeouts, cementing her status as one of the most dominant pitchers in her school’s history. Her strikeout record in a single season of 441 in 2017 is a testament to her unmatched talent and determination.

Ashley Rogers earned an earned run average as a freshman and was seventh in the SEC, and her 4.98 strikeout-to-walk ratio was fifth in the conference and 32nd in the country. She had 209 punchouts, good for second in the league, and an 8.4 K/9, good for third in the league and 32nd in the country.
Ashley had a 21-7 win-loss record in 39 appearances, 15 of which were full games, and finished the season with victories (21) ranking third in the SEC and 41st in the NCAA. In her sophomore year in 2020, she suffered an injury and had to sit out.
Ashley led the Lady Vols in 2022 with a 2.01 ERA, four shutouts and three saves in 104.1 innings in which she had 25 appearances (15 starts). She beat the Oregon State Beavers (5/21) in the NCAA Knoxville Regional, scoring eight hits, not running a single one, and conceding just two hits, en route to a 12-6 record and a seventh-place finish in the history of Tennessee softball.
Earning the SEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year award, Rogers pitched the first four innings of the Tennessee World Series opener (6/1) against Alabama to secure the win. She struck on 05.26. eight Texans with an overall victory and on 13.05. three Gamecocks on a save opportunity in SEC Tournament Championship play. Your team won 3-1.
