Early life
Brayden, Arnaud Jobert was born on November 14, 2000, to parents Jacques and Amy Jobert in Slidell, Louisiana. His father played baseball at Delgado Community College and Nicholls State and he now works as a batting coach/instructor; His mother is a loan officer. Reese is his only younger brother.
He attended Northshore High School in Slidell, Louisiana, and played on the Panthers’ varsity team for three seasons, earning all-district honors as a sophomore, junior, and senior. As a senior, he was voted District 6-5A MVP and All-Region 10 Hitter of the Year after hitting .380 in five homers.

Before enrolling at LSU, he spent the 2021 season playing for Delgado Community College in New Orleans, Louisiana, where he batted .386, doubled 15 times, hit 16 home runs, completed 71 carries had a base percentage of .469, and struck .813. At Nicholls State, he played all 18 games of the 2020 season, including 16 starts, mostly as a designated hitter.
He ended 2020 with a .365 batting average, a team-high 23 hits, 11 RBI, 11 runs scored, and a 13-game hitting streak. He led the team in five games in which he scored multiple times, including a four-goal performance in the home win over Long Island University.
In 59 games (57 starts) in 2022, Brayden hit .246 (49-for-199) with 10 2B, 1 3B, 18 HR, 58 RBI, and 46 R. He also started 48 games at DH and 9 games at right field. He was LSU’s second-best home run hitter and RBI producer after Dylan Crews.
With 18 homers and nine homers and twenty-five RBI in SEC regular-season games, Jobert finished ninth in the conference. For an A.500 hitter in four games with a double, a triple, five homers, and 13 RBI, he was named SEC Player of the Week for the week of May 23.
Brayden hit .500 (6 of 12) with a double, a triple, three homers, and ten RBI in a three-game streak against Vanderbilt from May 19-21. Jobert hit a grand slam, a three-run home run, and a two-run double to help the Tigers beat Vanderbilt and earn the No. 4 spot in the SEC tournament on May 21. He drove in nine heats and equalized the LSU individual win—game record.
Rise to Fame
Brayden tied the school RBI record set by Eric Hendrickson on March 5, 1999, against Ohio, then hit two home runs and delivered three RBI in a win over Northwestern State on May 17. He hit two solo homers and hit three runs during the Missouri series, and he had an incredible five homers and 16 RBI over the course of three games.
Brayden had seven runs in LSU’s win over UL Monroe on March 29, becoming the school’s first player with seven or more RBIs since Antoine Duplantis against Georgia on March 17, 2017. He hit .444 (4-9 ) with three home runs, five runs scored, and nine RBI in two games against No. 7 Florida, which helped LSU win the series.
His two-run home run in the fourth inning of Game 3 ended a goalless tie and sparked a four-run burst at LSU. His three-run home run in the sixth inning of Game 3 in Florida capped a seven-run frame and he finished the game with a career-high RBI. Brayden hit his first home run of the series in Game 2 against Florida, a three-run throw that was the big hit in a six-run contest in the third inning.
