Hallie Wacaser was born on February 21, 2002, in Centerton, Arkansas, and is the daughter of Keith and Rachel Wacaser. She attended Bentonville West High School and was also on the high school’s softball team. Hallie earned an All-A honors list in all four years of high school and went on to receive a 4.1 GPA and other top honors.
For her senior year of high school, she enrolled at Bentonville West High School in Centerton, Arkansas. As a freshman, she was named Newcomer of the Year, All-State, and All-Conference three times. With a .560 batting average and two homers, she led all Pan American Games and helped the United States U17 team to gold in Barranquilla, Colombia.
In 2017 she was in her first class and FSU won the championship that year. Hallie was among the spectators to witness this historic moment of winning the national title and decided to play for FSU in the future.
Hallie Wacaser career
Her injury forced her to redshirt as a freshman in 2021. She appeared in 46 games, including 30 in the starting XI, including 16 as a designated player and 14 in the outfield. She hit .167 (15 of 90) with three doubles, one home run, eight RBI and six runs scored. While playing at Lipscomb, she hit the first home run of her career, winning 1-1 with a double and a run against Kennesaw State.
In the game against Oakland, she went 2-on-3 with two runs batted and a stolen base. She had a notable six-RBI day with two three-run homers in the run-rule win over Notre Dame and stole two bases for the second time in her career against Jacksonville.
Against Syracuse, she hit three, including a home run, and hit three runs on two singles on the Clemson doubleheader. At the Dugout Club Classic, she drove five runs and scored in six straight games, the highlight of which was two doubles against FGCU. On the first day of the season’s doubleheader against Lipscomb, she beat fourth-placed Arkansas 4-2 in Clearwater with an RBI double.
