Katy Perry was born on October 25, 1984, in Santa Barbara, California, United States to parents Mary Perry and Maurice Keith Hudson. She was born into a Catholic family and grew up singing in church. She is of mixed ethnic background as she has ancestry in English, German, Irish, and Portuguese. Katy also has a brother named David and a sister named Angela.
