Kristen Kish is an American personality, best known as a chef and season 10 winner of Top Chef. She previously worked as a chef at the Menton in Fort Point. She hosted the show “36 Hours” on the Travel Channel and remained a co-host of “Fast Foodies” on the TruTV channel.
Early life
Kristen Kish was born December 1, 1983, in Seoul, South Korea, and was adopted by a family in Michigan when she was only 4 months old. She went to school where she started working as a model. She went to Le Cordon Bleu in Chicago and earned an AA in Culinary Arts.

Kish worked as an instructor for Stir, a culinary demonstration kitchen in Boston, and later, in 2012, she was promoted to Executive Chef at Stir. Until 2014, she also worked as executive chef at Menton Boston, owned by Barbara Lynch. She has also remained the author of a cookbook. In 2017 she co-published a book with Meredith Erickson and the book shaped the recipes of various dishes nationally and internationally. Later in May 2018, Kish opened her restaurant called Arlo Gray in Austin, Texas where she worked as a chef.
Kristen appeared as a contestant on Season 10 of Top Chef in Seattle, where she won the title and became the second woman to receive the prestigious honor. Born in South Korea, Kristen was later adopted by a family in Kentwood, Michigan. Ever since she was a child, she has been fascinated by the dishes and their recipes. She was suggested by her mother to attend culinary school and has since attended Le Cordon Bleu in Chicago and has never looked back.

She worked with Executive Chef Barbara Lynch, who hired her as Executive Chef in Menton. Kristen quit her job in 2014 and eventually decided to travel the world and write a cookbook. In October 2017, Kristen launched her first cookbook called Kristen Kish Cooking and the following year she announced her partnership with Sydell Group to open her first restaurant, Arlo Grey. Many refined and sizzling dishes have been introduced at their restaurant in collaboration with the Sydell Group, including various French and Italian dishes, reflecting the background of the dishes’ nostalgia and reflecting love with the help of an outlook on how people cook to tell their stories tell. Kristen co-hosted the show Fast Foodies which premiered in February 2021 and she famously gained the limelight.

In March 2014, Kristen Kish announced that she was in a relationship with partner and friend Jacqueline Westbrook, with whom she was celebrating her one year anniversary, and took the help of Instagram to announce the same.
