Lucrezia Stefanini was born on May 15, 1998, in Florence, Italy. She lives in a family of tennis players, her father Marco Stefanini and her mother Roberta Ardinghi are also her coaches, and her brother Jacopo, 20, is beginning to achieve significant success in the future. Lucrezia began playing tennis at the age of eight under the tutelage of her father, who served as a mentor to her until she was eighteen.
She represented Italy in the U.14 Summer and U.16 Winter Cups. She also represented Italy at the 2015 Youth Olympic Games in Utrecht, Netherlands. Her goal is to compete in the first Grand Slam and rise to a position where she can compete regularly in WTA competitions.

At ITF Brescia 2014 she took part in her first professional competition. In July 2016 she played her first ITF final in Schio but lost to the Ukrainian Valeriya Strakhova. Later in Hammamet in 2017, she defeated Eleni Kordolaimi of Greece to win her first trophy.
She competed in doubles with Tatiana Pieri and reached the first ITF final in Sassuolo in June 2016. In that game she lost to Alice Balducci and Deborah Chiesa, but won the championship in September with the same partner in Pula, defeating Balducci and Marcella Cucca again.
