Early life
Nijel Christian Pack was born on May 22, 2001, in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin making him only 22 years old in 2023. His parents are David and Robin Pack, and he was born after two other older siblings – Ben (brother) and Anjelica (sister). ). He is studying finance and has yet to graduate with Batch 2024.
Nijel played for the Indy Heat and was coached by head coach Jason Delaney on the 2019 Nike EYBL Tour this summer. He was recognized as a Nike All-EYBL Breakout Team after his performance at the Peach Jam, where he averaged 20.8 points, 8.2 assists, 6.2 rebounds and 2.3 steals per game across six games.

Nijel Pack received his education from Lawrence Central High School in Indianapolis, Indiana. He averaged 16.5 points and 4.1 assists, setting a record Class 4A section title for his school. As a senior, he averaged 17.7 points, 4.2 assists, and 4 rebounds per game, which helped the team set a record of 22-3 points.
college career
Beginning the freshman season, he had the season-high of 26 points, five assists, three steals, and a 68-61 aggregate with a loss to Texas A&M. Due to the COVID-19 lockdown and associated protocols, he had to at least miss four games in a row. Next, he missed the fifth game due to an eye infection. On January 22, 2022, he had another career-high average of 35 points, a 78-75 aggregate, and a loss to Kansas. After the 2021–2022 season, he was eligible for the 2022 NBA draft but entered transfer protocol. He was next transferred to Miami on April 23, 2022, for subsequent seasons.
