She was a junior from Oak Park and had received various honors including some academic All Big Ten honors in 2020 and 2021 for the track.
Early life
Sarah was raised by her loving and caring parents named Scott and Brigitte Shulze. She grew up alongside her two siblings named Abbey and Ella and was born on October 1st. She was 21 years old before news of her death published on April 15, 2022 on her official website. Sarah was named Ventura County’s Female Athlete of the Year for the 2018-19 season.
Despite this, she is the winner of the 2019 Ventura County titles in the 1600 meters and 3200 meters. She has remained the CIF Southern Section Champion, CIF Masters Meet Champion, and Mt. Sac Relays Champion for the 3200 meters.
While performing for the 2019 Cross Country, she placed 18th and arrived at the Loyola Lakefront Invitational with a timing of 18:15:98. She also appeared at the Badger Classic where she performed well, finishing second in 21:58.5 and taking the title. Her personal best remained at 21:23.3, which she set at the Big Ten Championships on November 3, 2019, finishing 52nd.

It’s not that Sarah Shulze hasn’t performed well in her career. She came to make a long journey during her sophomore and younger years. She has performed at Indoor 2020, Outdoor 2020 Track, 2020 Cross Country, 2021 Indoor Track, 2021 Outdoor Track, 2021 Cross Country, and 2022 Indoor Track.
In the middle of the year, Shulze faced COVID restrictions as one of her 2020 outdoor tracks was cancelled. She later appeared to compete at Cross Country 2020, where she placed 43rd and 5th at the Big Ten Championships, posting her best of 21:40:4. She later started her 2021 in the 3000m track, finishing 16th on court and setting her best of 9:43.09.
At the Big Ten championships on February 25-27, she set another personal best of 16:40.73 and ran the 5,000 meters. She also has at the Hawkeye B1G Invitational (February 12-13, 2021), Badger Icebreaker (January 16, 2021), Big Ten Championships (May 16, 2021), 4 × 1600 meter relay at Fighting Illini He has performed at Big Ten Relays (April 23, 2021), Big Ten Invite #2 (April 9-10, 2021), M City Classic (April 30-May 1, 2021), and many others.
In the 2022 season, she finished the course’s first race in the 3000 meter category in a time of 9:43.98 and completed her personal best mileage in 4:56.57 at the Larry Wieczorek Invite. Most recently, she placed eighth with her personal best 3000 meters of the course with 9:26.07 at the Badgers Windy City Invite on February 11-12, 2020. She has received at least two awards including 2020 and 2021 Academic All-BIg Ten in Cross Country and Academic All-BIg Ten Track in 2021.
