Sriram Krishnan is an Indian-born American investor, YouTuber, engineer, and partner in the venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz. Sriram used to work for leading companies such as Twitter, Microsoft, Facebook, and Snap. He is also an advisor to Calm, Khatabook, Akash Systems, Angellist, and Atlys.
Early life
Sriram Krishnan was born in Chennai, India, and also grew up in India. In 2001 he went to Anna University, Chennai for further education. He received his BA in IT (Information Technology) from SRM Engineering College in 2005. As for his family, his father used to work in an insurance company while his mother was a housewife.

Sriram began his career in 2007 as a program manager at Microsoft for Visual Studio. He later moved to Facebook, where he worked on the project to build the Facebook Audience Network, a globally competitive platform using Google’s advertising technologies. Sriram Krishnan also worked at Snap, an American multimedia instant messaging app, where he built the company’s ad tech platform. He then joined Twitter in 2017 where he served as Senior Product Director and contributed to the core user experience. Sriram drove a 20% annual user growth rate for Twitter and led the core team. In addition to his work at Twitter, Sriram has held leadership positions at Yahoo!, Facebook and Snap. In 2021 he joined Andreesen Horowitz, which was founded in 2009. In early 2021, Sriram and his wife Aarthi Ramamurthy rose to prominence by launching a clubhouse talk show called the Good Time Show, which featured Elon Musk, Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer, and Mark Zuckerberg, among others. The chat show focuses on organic conversations on everything, especially venture capital and cryptocurrency startups. The chat show helps interact with a larger community, resulting in various recent innovations that allow for streaming and replay of clubhouse chats. As of December 2021, the Good Time Show had nearly 187,000 subscribers, up 735,000 subscribers thereafter. In 2022, The Good Time Show moved to a YouTube channel.
Beginning in 2022, Elon Musk is expected to appoint Twitter as the new product leadership in the social segment, including a stronger focus on subscriptions, fewer content restrictions, and the possibility of multiple algorithms for different timelines. For example, Elon Musk regularly meets up with David Sacks, a friend from his PayPal days; Jason Calacanis, a friend and investor; and Sriram, a former Twitter executive and current general partner of venture firm Andreessen Horowitz.

Sriram Krishnan married Aarthi Ramamurthy, co-host of The Good Time Show and a serial entrepreneur. He met Aarthi in college in 2003 when they were studying software engineering. The pair worked together on a college project that involved a programming major through a Yahoo! chat room. The couple later began dating in 2006. Aarthi has also worked at Netflix and Facebook.
