Kyriacou was born on November 22, 2000, in Sydney, NSW, Australia. Her father is Nick Kyriacou and her mother is Angele Hakim Kyriacou. Steph grew up with her older sister Eleena, who is studying architecture.
She started playing golf at the age of four and was introduced to the game by her father, who now acts as her regular caddy. She participated in the Jack Newton Junior Golf Program and made her debut in the Jack Newton golf tournament, State Junior Medals, in 2011 at the age of 10.

Stephanie started playing golf at a very young age and showed great success as a junior golfer. She won several tournaments and represented Australia in various international events such as the 2018 Youth Olympic Games where she placed fourth.
