Tonio made his acting debut in the 2008 drama film Wild Sunflowers as Joe, a limousine driver, and was credited as Tony Ray. In 2016 he appeared in the pilot of the web series Cringeworthy and also in Nicolle M. Whalen’s short film Gooned.
