Trevor Lawrence is an American football quarterback who plays for the NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars. As a freshman, he was honored with the 2019 National Championship Game, held in Clemson. He set an all-school record during his days winning for quarterback.

Early life
Trevor Lawrence was born on October 6, 1999, and grew up in Knoxville, Tennessee. He attended Cartersville High School in Cartersville, Georgia, where he received his education and played football and basketball while scoring one goal for his college career. As a junior, he was named The Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s 2016 Player of the Year after rushing for 3,904 yards in 406 passes and 51 touchdowns. As a sophomore, he rushed for 3,655 yards and 43 touchdowns, and as a freshman, he rushed for 3,042 yards with 26 touchdowns.
From his sophomore year through his senior year, he led his team, the Purple Hurricanes, to 41 straight victories. He has won two state championships and four regional titles for his team and has received numerous high school player of the year awards. Lawrence was a five-star recruit who was named the best high school quarterback of all time. On December 16, 2016, he made his commitment to Clemson University to play college football.

He became one of the first true freshman quarterbacks. First off, a national championship, since it was last won by Oklahoma in 1985 by Jamelle Holieway. He rushed for approximately 3,280 passing yards and 30 touchdowns for the season and later earned the National Freshman of the Year Award and the Archie Griffin Award. Trevor was also honored with the ACC Rookie of the Year Award. He returned to his second career with the Tigers and was named ACC Player of the Year. He was considered the lead player for the Heisman Trophy, awarded to outstanding players in college football. However, he later finished in seventh place, voting for the Heisman Trophy.
Returning to his team in the Tigers, he made the first six games of the season, rushing for 1,833 passing yards with nearly 17 touchdowns and two interceptions. On October 30, 2020, Lawrence tested positive for COVID-19, requiring him to self-quarantine for 10 days. As a result, he had to miss two events before getting back in. He finished his final season with the Tigers with 231 of 334 and 3,154 passing yards with 24 touchdowns and 5 interceptions. He was named ACC Player of the Year in the second vote for the Heisman Trophy, coming behind Alabama wide receiver DeVonta Smith.

In April 2021, Lawrence married his longtime girlfriend named Marissa Mowry, in Bluffton, South Carolina. He posted a picture of himself with his then-wife with the caption “My Love Forever.” Mowry is an athlete herself, having previously played soccer for Anderson University in South Carolina.
