Victoria Osteen is an American author. Although she is an author, she is the co-pastor at Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas. She is famous for being the only wife and wife of the famous American pastor named Joel Osteen. The couple shares two children – a daughter and a son. She is the daughter-in-law of the famous pastor and founding pastor of Lakewood Church named John Osteen.
Early life
Victoria Osteen was born on March 28, 1961, in Huntsville, Alabama. She lived near the Marshall Space Flight Center, where her father, Donald Iloff, worked as a mathematician at General Electric and was a member of GE’s Saturn rocket project team.
When Victoria was only two years old, her family moved to Houston, Texas because her father took up a new position at NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration). Growing up in a southeast Houston suburb, she attended the nearby Church of Christ, where her mother, Georgine Iloff, taught Sunday school and her father served as a deacon.
Victoria went to the University of Houston, where she studied psychology while working in her mother’s jewelry business, although she did not get a degree from the university. It was while Osteen was working with her mother in her jewelry store that she met her future husband Joel Osteen in 1985 when he came to her as a customer to buy a new watch battery.

She is the founder of the Women’s Ministry of Lakewood Church in 2003, where she currently serves as Associate Pastor. She can often be seen speaking on an hour-long program airing on the Daystar Television Network with a live internet feed.
Victoria can also be seen engaging in various activities such as speaking on various topics and expressing her views on Houston radio station 89.3 KSBJ. She regularly supports the organization Feed the Children and The Bridge. At the age of 26, Victoria Osteen married Joel Osteen, with whom she shared the position of pastor for Lakewood Church. The couple married on April 4, 1987, and have raised two children together, the eldest being a son and the youngest being a daughter. According to her website, Victoria reveals that she is a wife and mother.
