Amy was a member of her collegiate softball team and played for Utah for four years from 1991-1994.
Amy was a standout player and twice led the team to the Women’s College World Series. In 1994, she was named Western Athletic Conference Player of the Year. In her freshman year, she set the NCAA Division I single-game record for at-bats (14). It was the longest game in NCAA softball history. She helped the team win two conference titles.

Amy had a very successful college softball career. After graduating, she briefly played professional softball. She toured with WPF Storm and was later signed for tournaments by the Dunham Dragons. Her career as a professional softball player soon came to an end. Amy has a master’s degree in social work and is a certified social worker. The team competed in back-to-back Super Regionals in 2016 and 2017. In 2015, she received the Pac-12 Coach of the Year award. She had a huge impact on the team’s performance.
