Austin Eckroat was born on January 12, 1999, in Edmond, Oklahoma. He was raised by his loving and caring parents Steve and Natalie Eckroat. Austin played at the US Amateur Championship for the fourth time in 2020. He placed sixth when participating in the 2020 Southern Amateur Championship. He next competed at the 2019 US Open Championship at Pebble Beach but missed the cut after appearing in carding rounds 72 and 75. In 2019, he was a member of the 2019 US Palmer Cup roster.
