Bob Beckel was an American personality known for his varied careers, including political analyst, pundit, and former political agent. He previously worked as an analyst and commentator for Fox News Channel. Despite this, he co-hosted the series THe Five until he was released from the channel in 2015 after spending several months in hospital recovering from back surgery.
Following the release of Fox News Channel, Beckel started his new job at CNN. In January 2017, he returned to Fox News as a co-host of The Five. But soon in May 2017, the network announced that they were releasing Beckel after they were accused of making racist comments against one of the Fox News employees.
Early life
Robert Gilliland Beckel, the hard worker and internet sensation, was born on November 15, 1948 in New York. He was raised in Lyme, Connecticut by his loving and caring parents named Cambridge Graham Beckel Jr. (father) and Ellen Gilliland Beckel (mother). His father Cambridge Graham Beckel Jr. remained the author of the famous bestseller Workshops for the World: The United Nations Family of Agencies. Beckel wasn’t the only one raised by his parents, he shared his childhood with his older brother Graham Beckel who is an actor.
Beckel attended Wagner College in Staten Island and received his BA. He played soccer while in college and worked for Robert F. Kennedy’s 1968 presidential campaign. Beckel also served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Philippines from 1971 until 1972, after which he earned his degree in politics from George Washington University.

The American political scientist Bob Beckel was married. He was married to Leland Keysar, who was one of the witnesses in the Brett Kavanaugh case. The couple married in 1992, but their marriage could endure and last up to a decade. The two were blessed with two children before their official split in 2002. After that, Beckel developed an alcohol addiction.
