Brianna Decker is an American personality who is an ice hockey player by profession. She currently plays for the Calgary Section of the PWHPA and is an active member of the United States Women’s National Ice Hockey Team. She received the honor of the 2012 Patty Kazmaier Award. Brianna received the honor for playing for the University of Wisconsin and became one of the most famous players in NCAA Division I hockey. On October 25, 2015, while attending Boston Pride, Decker scored the first hat-trick in NWHL history.

Brianna Decker began her freshman season with the NCAA in 2009 with the Wisconsin Badgers women’s hockey program. During the season, she received the Badgers’ first goal of the season on October 3, 2009 against North Dakota. During the season, she participated in seven multi-point games and four multi-point games.
She received a gold medal at the 2009 IIHF World Women’s U18 Championship. On January 18, 2011, it was announced that Decker would be a part of the US Women’s National Team tentative roster. From April 4-12, she was one of the 30 participants in the selection/training camp and was also nominated for the final lineup at the 2011 IIHF Women’s World Championship.
On January 2, 2022, she was nominated to participate on Team USA, where she would represent the USA at the 2022 Winter Olympics.
Decker was signed to Boston Pride as a free agent. On October 25, 2015, she made history with her name in the National Women’s Hockey League. She scored the first hat trick in league history while playing against the Buffalo Beauts. Decker was named the NWHL’s Most Valuable Player for her performance in the 2015-16 and 2016-17 seasons.
On July 24, 2018, Decker and teammate Kacey Bellamy (USA gold medalist) signed as a free agent with Calgary Inferno. Decker scored the winning goal while playing Les Canadiennes de Montreal in the final season of the 2019 Clarkson Cup. Decker also received recognition as the 2019 Clarkson Cup Playoffs MVP.
Decker is currently in the news for being sprained with a serious knee injury in the first period in the 5-2 win over Finland at the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics. Decker has remained a key player at PyeongChang 2018. She suffered an injury on Thursday 3 February 2022 and is said to not be participating in the upcoming Winter Olympics events. The 30-year-old lady left the game midway through the first period. She was badly injured in her lower body and will not be returning for the remainder of the Olympics.
