Jackie Redmond is a Canadian sports commentator popularly known for her work as a presenter on the National Hockey League Network. Although she is a presenter, she is a producer, reporter and news correspondent. She is the anchor of Sportsnet Central, where she provides daily coverage of the NHL and MLB (Major League Baseball) networks. Regarded as the NHL’s top prospect, she has now landed another job profile with WWE (effective October 2021).
Jackie has joined the WWE broadcast team while also doing reporting work for the NHL. She will be the new co-host of the show Raw Talk and Talking Smack. As of October 2021, she has joined the WWE Network and would take on the role of Charly Caruso, who left the network to join ESPN.
Early life
Jackie Redmond was born on April 12, 1986 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. She was raised by her loving and caring parents named Steve Redmond (father) and mother whose identity was not shared. Her father was an athlete in his day and that’s why Jackie only developed an interest in sports.
She grew up with her sister named Marcy Thomas who was a hockey lover since birth and coached hockey for many years and is now married. As for Jackie’s educational life, she is a PhD student at the University of Guelph-Humber, from which she received her bachelor’s degree in media studies and her journalism diploma in 2010.

Immediately after completing her bachelor’s degree in 2010, Jackie Redmond started her career as an intern at ET Canada. She extended her work as an intern for four months from January 2010 to April 2010 in Toronto, Canada. It was a nine-week internship that was divided between the tasks of the archive, the control room and the production office. She later became a volunteer presenter at Rogers TV based in London, Canada, where she gained experience in many facets of the television business.
She worked in almost every department including sound, studios, camera, chyron, etc. While working for the network, she got her first experience as a TV presenter, working as a reporter for the lifestyle show Forest City Living.
From 2010-2011 she worked at 102.3 BOB FM as an on-air presenter where she hosted and produced web videos for the BOB FM website. She then joined the Rogers Sportsnet network in December 2011 and gained tremendous experience during her work and was given the opportunity to do everything from hosting live shows, to hosting the highlights desk, to covering various live Events like the Rogers Cup.
She extended her work with the network from December 2011 to October 2015, which totaled 5 years and 11 months. As of October 2017, she has worked as a presenter and reporter for the NHL Network, where she performs all major roles including player interviews, game previews, traditional presenter, game analyst, etc. She says she feels lucky to be able to network with the NHL Network and enjoy working for her where she gets every opportunity to get out of the box.
Rise to Fame
Jackie Redmond had a breakthrough in her life when she became the first woman to win the third season of Gillette DRafted: The SEarch of Canada’s Next Sportscaster Auditions in 2011. During her jobs at various networks, she has interviewed various celebrities, including Kyle Lowry and Jonas Valanciunas, Matthew Tsang and Tyler Johnson. According to the October 2021 announcement, she would host the performance with Matt Camp as WWE Analyst and co-host of The Bump.
The announcement said she would continue her roles on the NHL Networks and also assume her new role at Turner Sports for WWE. Redmond has over 10 years of reporting and anchoring experience. She currently covers the major events of the NHL and MLB networks and was previously with Rogers Sportsnet for many years.

Though Jackie Redmond hasn’t commented on the rumours, she is believed to be romantically linked to men like Emmett Blois, who is a professional model and also owns a gym. In the past she was involved with Josh Donaldson (Blue Jays MLB Superstar Player). Josh Donaldson cheated on Jackie with his girlfriend Briana Miller. The incident prompted Briana to delete all of her pictures from her Instagram feed along with Donaldson.
