Early life
Charley Hull was born on March 20, 1996, in Kettering, Northamptonshire, England. Her father introduced her to golf at the age of two and she began playing with him at Kettering Golf Club. Hull began competing in amateur events at the age of 13 when she left school to be homeschooled.
Hull first came to attention at the age of nine when she beat adults in a crucial 18-hole skill measurement tournament at Turnberry, scoring 28 out of 26 Stableford points. At the British Open Pro-Am at the age of 10, she competed alongside Morgan Pressel.

Hull turned professional on January 1, 2013, and had a notable rookie season on the Ladies European Tour, where she won her first and only singles title at the Ladies Open Biel Bienne in Switzerland at the age of 17, in only her second career LET individual event.
