Lori Wachs was born on August 11, 1968 in the United States of America to American parents Roz Levitt Pearlman and her father and mother Kenneth Pearlman. Bret d. Pearlman is her brother’s name.

Lori is a Benjamin Franklin Scholar and a magna cum laude graduate of the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where she majored in Finance and minored in East Asian Studies. She was elected Phi Beta Kappa after graduating with honors. She is currently Chair of the Penn Women Trustees’ Council, an international network of prominent University of Pennsylvania alumnae.
