David Bederman is the new contestant on the Jeopardy stage, joining the show on July 18, 2023. He dethroned two-day winner Daniel Moore, the contract compliance analyst who won $39,800 in his previous two games. Daniel failed to defend his title and lost the game by just $1, and the winning streak fell into the hands of David Bederman.
Early life
Born in May 1986, David Bederman was raised by loving and caring parents, Andrew Bederman and Jill Spector Bederman. He is from Los Angeles and his full name is David Samuel Bederman.
From 2004 to 2008 he received his bachelor’s degree in international studies and psychology from Northwestern University. David received his Ph.D. from Loyola Law School in 2012.
David Bederman career
He began his professional life in 2012 as an attorney at Waters & Kraus LLP. From October 2014 to February 2016, he moved to another firm, Kaiser Gornick LLP, and became an attorney, handling complex cases for plaintiffs suffering from mesothelioma. He was responsible for customer contacts, reasoning, answering and making discoveries, etc.
From March 2016 to February 2017 he practiced as an attorney for Manning & Kass, Ellrod, Ramirez, and Trester LLP. He was responsible for handling cases and disputes in the state and federal courts in California. Since February 2017, he has worked for Abir Cohen Treyzon Salo, LLP, based in Los Angeles, LA, handling cases including bad faith property insurance, civil liberties, personal injury, medical malpractice, and judgment enforcement.
Jeopardy journey
Competitor Daniel Moore led the first two days and was in the process of defending his title against the other two competitors – David and Chelsea Watt. Initially, Daniel Moore did well and was a leader among the other contestants. In the first commercial break, Dabid Bederman scored twice as many points as Daniel. He gave nine correct answers and two wrong answers with seven more questions. While Daniel also had nine correct answers and two wrong answers, Chelsea Watt had eight correct answers and one wrong answer.

After all three contestants made the double jeopardy round, Chelsea Watt had the daily doubles but missed them. She gave 13 correct and three wrong answers. Daniel got all nine answers correct, while David got 21 correct answers and no wrong answers.

- Daniel – $14,200
- Chelsea – $5800
David had an additional win of $10,601 in the final round where all three contestants had the correct answer. Thus, David had a total earnings of $28,401, just $1 more than Daniel Moore.
