Dustin Tavella is an American singer, musician and magician. He is best known for winning the 16th season of the NBC show America’s Got Talent as a magician. He uses his talent in the two disparate fields of art and combines them into one to produce an unprecedented feat. With his most recent performance, he advanced to the further rounds and thus reached the semi-finals.
Early life
Dustin Tavella was born on April 11, 1986 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. He was born into a Christian family and is of white ethnicity. His mother is Patti Tavella but not much is known about his father. He is also known to have a sibling sister named Tara Tavella. Dustin hasn’t revealed much about his education and background, but it’s believed he graduated from a local Philadelphia high school. He didn’t say anything about going to college.

Dustin used to work for the homeless and mentor youth before pursuing his music career. He identified the effect of music on society and went further with it. He started covering and recording new songs from pop to r&b etc on his youtube channel. Dustin released his first ever single on his Youtube channel called “My Playground” in 2010, followed by multiple singles, live performances and collaborations with various artists. In his audition round he played his special musical-magical piece and impressed all the judges. He was ranked in the top 36 and soon reached the quarterfinals. In his quarterfinals, he performed a magic trick with cards, for which he received a standing ovation from all judges and advanced to the semifinals.
