Eric Cole was born on June 12, 1988, in Palm Springs, California, United States. His father’s name is Bobby Cole and he played on the PGA Champions Tour from 1998-2001. At the age of 18, his father won the British Amateur at Carnoustie (1966).
His mother’s name is Laura Baugh, a former LPGA star. Eric Cole’s mother was the youngest American amateur champion at the time and turned pro in 1973. In 2016, he gained membership with the Korn Ferry Tour but did not retain his status. In 2019 he won 14 times on the Minor Association Golf Tour. He qualified for the 2021 US Open at Torrey Pines Golf Course, where he missed the cut after rounds of 77-73.
