Holly Hassel, an English professor at North Dakota State University is the new champion of Jeopardy, who faced off against Neilay Amin, new competitor and six-day champion Suresh Krishnan. The game had to undergo many changes, with Hassel winning a total of $10,500. Despite being the six-day champion, Krishnan finished second for a total of $5,200, and the third contestant, Amin, ended up taking $799. The show was originally taped on April 4th in Culver City, California, and on June 14th, 2023, Holly Hassel got together with her 25 friends and waited for her performance on stage.

Suresh Krishnan was at the top, and the day Hassel arrived she suddenly tightened her grip as the daily doubles round began. First, she bet $1,600 and then started making the right answers, responding correctly to each clue, and then took the lead. After that, when the Double Jeopardy round started, she had $5,200 and was still ahead of the two participants – Krishnan and Amin.
Amin, the third entrant in line, got the correct answer for the Daily Double Clues, beating Krishnan and Hassel mid-game. But in the second round he bet $4,800 after which he started losing the game. Suresh Krishnan gave six correct answers with two wrong answers, Neilay Amin had four correct answers with three wrong answers and Holly gave eight correct answers with three wrong answers.
