Early life

Jennie Gow was born on May 20, 1997, in Southampton, United Kingdom. Gow grew up in Dorset, but when she was seven her family moved to Wargrave, Berkshire. She received her education at the Piggott School and took an active part in the local theater. In addition, Gow had a passion for sports and achieved great success as a helmsman for various rowing teams, winning several medals in the process.

Gow’s professional experience includes working as a ski lodge maid in France and a brief stint as a clerk in the records and records department at the Royal Berkshire Hospital. In 1992 she began working for the Henley Standard. After graduating in Media and Communication Studies, she joined BBC Sport in 1999 as Production Secretary for Sports Personality of the Century.

She then joined BBC Radio Solent as a transport and travel presenter in 2001 before becoming a journalist on the sports team covering Southampton, Portsmouth, and AFC Bournemouth. In March 2010 it was announced that Gow would take on the role of new presenter of the BBC’s MotoGP coverage, alongside pit reporter Matt Roberts and commentators Charlie Cox and Steve Parrish, following Suzi Perry’s retirement at the end of the 2009 series. However, she was succeeded by Roberts as the main presenter for the following season in 2011.
