Katie Phang is an anchor and host of Katie Phang Show on MSNBC and Peacock, who practices as a trial attorney and as a media relations and crisis management consultant. She has served as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Miami School of Law and has remained a past President of the Miami-Dade Chapter of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers. Early life
Katie was born on August 1, 1975 in Miami, Florida. She was supported by her mother Jean, who is currently retired from her nursing profession, and Michael (father), who is the dean of the College of Engineering – at the University of Miami. Katie’s father came to America at the age of 19 with just $2.43 in his hands. He studied for Bachelors, Masters and Ph.D. and had a job on his hands to expand the family. Before coming to America, Katie Phang’s father lived in South Korea.
Katie is a recipient of JD, cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law. She also has a BA in Political Science with a concentration in International Relations and a BA from Yale University.
