Kylie Chung is a sophomore softball player and currently plays for the Stanford Cardinals softball team. Westlake Village High School. Before attending Stanford, she was ranked 72nd in the class of 2021 by Extra Innings Softball.
Through her love of softball, coaching skills, and dedication to education, she has made a positive difference in her community. She is very proud of her journey and looks forward to future opportunities to inspire and nurture others through her involvement in softball and academia.
Early life
Kylie is originally from Thousands of Oaks, California. She is the daughter of Muoya and Eugene. Eugene played basketball at Cal State Los Angeles and abroad. She has two sisters, Amanda and Dana. Kylie graduated from Westlake Village High School in 2021. It is very important to her to have a positive influence in the academic field as well.

Kylie Chung not only won the league in 2021, but also led Westlake to the first championship in school history in 2019. In her career, Westlake ranked eighth in the country and fourth in the state. She finished second in the state in 2021 and was selected to first-team All-League selection three times (2018, 2019, 2021).
Kylie is a notable two-way player who has made valuable contributions both as a pitcher and at the plate throughout her collegiate career. In her role as a pitcher, Kylie played seven games and posted an impressive 1.50 ERA by hitting 11 batters in 9.1 innings. She achieved a 1-0 record in the circle and also secured a save.
On the offensive side, Kylie scored a 4:19 win, proving her power. Her hits included a double, and she also hit a home run, resulting in two RBIs. One of Kylie’s standout performances came in the game against UIC, where she hit a season-best 3.0 innings, earning her first career win.
In that game, she knocked out three batters, conceded only two hits, and conceded no walks. The very next day, Kylie showed her versatility by coming on as a substitute and recording her first save of her career. She sealed the win by beating the last batter and managing to escape a bases jam in a three-carry game.
Additionally, Kylie’s batting skills were evident as she scored a brace against Sacramento State. She closed the series on good terms, completing two runs and hitting a home run in the finals against California.
