Mia Scott is an American college softball player since she was in high school and campaigned to play for the University of Texas. Previously, she was committed to playing for Angleton in her high school.
She is now speaking out about her fresh start at the University of Texas and has signed with Texas Softball because she feels at home and comfortable at the university while playing for them. In addition, Mia came to Texas as an athlete with two sports – volleyball and softball.
Early life
Mia Scott is between 15 and 20 years old because she is a freshman and her exact date of birth is not disclosed. Mia was only four years old when she started playing softball, after which she had a brief stint as a cheerleader.
She completed her elementary education at Angleton High School, but did not specify how long she stayed at the high school. One thing is for sure, she came to Texas after 2021 as she graduated from high school in 2021 and had a brief stint in travel ball.

She grew up alongside her other 5 siblings named Gerard, Alyssa, Laila, Gabby and Caden, among whom Gerard has dedicated herself to playing soccer – previously at Arkansas Tech & Angelo State. Her father’s name is Garvin and her mother’s name is Cassandra Scott.
Mia Scott has remained state champion at McCombs Field, which is one of her most memorable dates in the sport. She selected Texas over several other bids from Alabama, Florida, Texas A&M, Minnesota, Oregon, Penn State, Oklahoma State, Houston, Arkansas and Tennessee.

Mia has always stayed high and energetic in her field to achieve good results and achieve the highest rank as much as possible. She was ranked 7th in the Extra Inning Softball Extra Elite 100. Despite this, she was number 21 on FloSoftball’s Hot 100 and number 57 on Softball America’s Top 100 Players list. She joined the University of Texas as a two-sport athlete, including softball and volleyball.

During her 2021 softball season, she had a hit averaging around .706 with 48 hits, 6 HRs, 20 doubles, 41 RBIs and finished her career with a career interscholastic average of .607 total points, 136 runs, 72 extra base hits and 190 hits. She is also a 2019 TGCA All-State and TXSWA Honorable Mention All-State honoree.
During the 2019 season, while playing for Angleton High School, she hit .574 with 46 runs scored, four HRs, 35 RBIs and a base percentage of 0.621. Her performance saw her team compete for the 2019 Texas Girls Class 5A State title, where the team had an 8-1 aggregate score and a win over opposing Corpus Christi Calallen.
Despite this, Mia continues to be a member of the 5A State Championship All-Tournament Team and has earned awards such as All-Southern Brazoria County Offensive Player of the Year and District 24-5A First Team. She earned the honor of being named District 27-5A Newcomer of the Year and All-Southern Brazoria County in 2018 after a total of .566, 64 hits, 35 runs made, 6 HRs, 43 RBIs and a .595 OBP.
