Michaela Edenfield was born on March 7, 2002, and is the daughter of Tami Powell. She was crowned the 2019 Homecoming Queen of Sneads High School. Michaela attended high school in Sneads, Fla., where she had a .440 batting average, 99 base knocks, 101 runs made, 32 doubles and 28 homers.
She also excelled at volleyball, winning four consecutive 1A state championships, and was named the most valuable player on her high school team in 2017. She plans to use her business degree to become a media marketing manager for a sports team or sportswear company.

Michaela played in all 61 games as a freshman in 2022 and had a .293 batting average (46 of 157), four doubles, and 16 homers, which are league-leading. She hit 36 runs, drove 53, and had the highest batting average at the club (.624). Michaela finished with 16 home runs, which was just three short of Florida State’s rookie record.
In her first 16 games, she hit seven home runs and hit the first home run of her career against Loyola Chicago (2/12). Michaela hit two homers against ranked opponents, first against No. 9 Texas (2/18) and then again against ranked opponent No. 25 UCF (2/20), completing three runs.

Edenfield hit her first two-run homer on 3/23/17 against Troy with a 3-on-3 win with five RBI and her second on 4/1/18 against Virginia with a 2-on-2 win with two walks and three RBI. In the FSU’s 6-0 win over Clemson No. 17 on April 23. she hit her 16th home run of the year.
In 2023, she hit ten homers, including a two-run shot over midfield at Notre Dame (4/30) and a game-winning three-run shot at Notre Dame (4/28). She had two doubles and six walks in a run-rule win over Virginia Tech (4/22) and six walks and three homers for five RBIs against fourth-place finisher Clemson (4/6).
Michaela went 3-on-3 with two singles and a monstrous grand slam against Georgia Tech (4/1) while completing six runs, and hit a solo home run the next day to level the score in the opening game of the series against Duke ( 3/24). She hit a grand slam against Colgate at 3/4, her second of the season, and a three-run home run against third-seeded Oklahoma State at 3/10 to extend her lead to four runs.
At the JoAnne Graf Classic, she got off to a strong start with five hits, two doubles and a game-winning home run against Lipscomb in game two (2/9), which was one of three hits that day and ended her career-high.
