DiDi Richards was born on February 8, 1999 in Houston, Texas, USA. Her mother’s name is Ungeanetta Richards and her father’s name is Damian Richards. Damian is also her sibling’s name. She is both an American citizen and of African American descent.
DiDi completed her high school coursework at Cypress Ranch High School. She was a standout athlete throughout her school. DiDi was a Lady Bears member while attending Baylor University.

As a senior, DiDi averaged 18.5 points, 8.2 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 2.9 steals per game, which made him Cypress Ranch High School’s all-time leading scorer. DiDis’ last Baylor season before beginning her WNBA career was one of tenacity. DiDi collided with a teammate during a preseason practice session, and the collision momentarily immobilized him. She led the Lady Bears to the Elite Eight and averaged 6.3 points, 6.3 assists and just over 1 steal per game this season.
