Miguel Sandoval is an American actor who has appeared in films and television shows, known for the TV series Medium. His acting career spans four decades. After years of working as an actor, he learned the profession of director and also works as a casting director.
Early life
Miguel was born on November 16, 1951 in Washington, DC. He has not revealed much information about his childhood. Sandoval enrolled in a mime school to receive professional training in pantomime performances in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Later, Miguel joined the mime troupe full-time and continued studying mime. In 1975 he began his professional acting career.

Miguel began his professional acting career as a pantomime. He began acting in films in the early 1980s. His first roles were supporting roles in films. He played small roles in films such as Do the Right Thing, Jurassic Park and Jungle Fever. It wasn’t until after his appearance in Clear and Present Danger that Miguel got bigger roles. He then appeared in Get Shorty, Blow, and Up Close & Personal.
His starring roles are Bennie Reyes in Three Businessman, Treviranus in Death and the Compass, and Arizona Gray in Repo Chick. He has appeared briefly in Sid and Nancy and in Repo Man. In the meantime, Miguel has acted in several television series. He played many recurring roles. He rose to prominence after the show Medium where he played DA Manuel Devalos. The series ended in 2011, but was his most successful acting project.
Miguel has also appeared as a guest on many popular series such as ER, The X-Files, Seinfeld, Fraiser, Law and Order, and Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. Sandoval starred in the first season of ABC drama Murder One. Miguel has also tried his hand at directing. He directed one episode of each season of Medium from seasons four through seven. Miguel founded an acting society for inmates of the New Mexico State Penitentiary.
