Personal life
Initially, Jeanne was married to White House official and Marine Reservist Paul Vander Myde. However, her life changed drastically when her husband suffered from chronic back pain that led to depression and anxiety and he ended his life by suicide. He later tied the knot with John W. Warner, who was then a Senator and one of Washington DC’s most eligible bachelors.
The couple met around 30 years ago and married in 2003 after John proposed to her in a chapel at Edinburgh Castle. Her husband was a student at the University of Virginia and graduated from there. John was a US Senator, after which he joined the government and the upper house of Congress. John Warner recently passed away on May 25, 2021.
