Molly was born on December 6, 1995 in Los Angeles, California and grew up in a traditional Jewish family. Her father Bryan Gordon is a director and her mother Jessie Nelson is a writer and director. Molly wanted to be an actress since she was a little child. She regularly watched sketch comedy series like Saturday Night Live, which inspired her to become a comedy actress.
Molly started performing on the LA stage at a very young age. She was in her school’s drama club and performed on her high school’s stage several times. When she was seventeen she played the role of Dot in her high school play Sunday in the Park with George. Molly has never been inclined towards academics.
