Early life
Myles Frost was born on July 21, 1999 in Maryland and Washington, DC and has spent his life moving between the two cities. Raised by his mother, Charmayne Strayhorn, a systems engineer, and his grandmother, a school teacher, he developed two enduring passions early in life: golf by the age of three and piano by the age of five. Myles received his high school education from Belmont University in Nashville, where he studied music technology for two years. He later transferred from Belmont to Bowie State University, majoring in Audio Engineering.
Myles Frost career
As a child, Myles sang and played piano and drums in church, and in middle school he played in an R&B cover band at local malls. He appeared in school plays by Hairspray (as Seaweed), Legally Blonde (as Warner), and Cinderella while attending Thomas Sprigg Wootton High School in Rockville, Maryland (as Lord Pinkleton).
Frost was a competitor on The Voice in 2017 while he was still in high school. He dropped out when he was cast as Michael Jackson in the Broadway production of MJ the Musical. Frost was cast for the role after Ephraim Sykes left the program at a critical point in its development and producers needed to quickly find a replacement. The production team auditioned a number of well-known actors, but none of them were available, so they broadened their search.
Frost was called to the audition after a YouTube video of him singing “Billie Jean” from a high school talent show caught producers’ interest. He eventually won the position. Myles is a multi-talented, self-taught pianist, actor, singer, composer, dancer, record producer, audio engineer and even an avid golfer (time permitting), but that’s just the beginning for this rising star.
Rise to Fame
His acting and musical credits include ALL IN, where he researched and performed for his debut role as Shane, an autistic 14-year-old teenager, and Netflix’s hit series Family Reunion (Seasons 1 and 2), where he added original music. Myles starred as Clarence in the biopic The DelRhonda Hood Story, The Big 50, which premiered on BET Networks and will be available in Fall 2021 on all BET Plus streaming platforms. A dedicated performer, Myles’ extensive professional experience has culminated in his preparation and experience for his most coveted role to date: the role of Michael Jackson in Broadway’s MJ The Musical.
Personal life
Myles Frost is not currently involved in a romantic relationship. He devotes himself entirely to her work and her profession. He spends so much time composing that he rarely has free time. When he has free time, he spends it with his family.
