Sabrina Ionescu was born on December 6, 1997 to Romanian-American parents and grew up in Walnut Creek, California. Her father’s name is Dan Ionescu, who fled communist Romania at the time of the 1989 revolution. During this time her father’s wife was Liliana Blaj, who lived separately from her only husband.
