With 128 receptions for 2,044 yards and 18 touchdowns, Travis finished his college career seventh in school history. After his redshirt senior season ended, he was invited to the 2019 Senior Bowl and became one of the first Old Dominion players to attend along with linebacker Oshane Ximines.

Fulgham was drafted by the Detroit Lions in the 2019 National Football League (NFL) draft; a Detroit-based professional American football team, in the sixth round with the 184th overall. On May 14, 2019, he signed a rookie contract with the Lions. On September 26, 2019, he was waived and reinstated in the drill squad. Also, the Lions promoted him back to the active roster on December 12, 2019.
He made his NFL debut against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on December 15, 2019. Most recently, on August 9, 2020, he was waived by the Lions. Travis was pulled from waivers by the Green Bay Packers; a professional American football team based in Green Bay, Wisconsin on August 10, 2020 and was waived on August 19, 2020.
