Early life
Zach Neto was born on January 31, 2001, in Miami, Florida, making him 22 years old in 2023. His parents Joaquin and Magali Neto raised him. He spent his childhood with two siblings, Andrew and Meghan Neto. As for education, Zach graduated from Miami Coral Park Senior High School in Miami, Florida. He later enrolled at Campbell University in North Carolina to pursue higher education.
Zach Neto Career
Zach Neto began his professional interest in baseball. While at Miami Coral Park Senior High School, he was named shortstop twice and an outfielder once. He was selected to play as a shortstop and pitcher for the State of Florida All-Star South Team. Additionally, he was named the 2019 Senior All-Star Public Team shortstop.
He began 2020 while pursuing his playing career for the Campbell Fighting Camels of the Big South Conference. During the season, he participated in a total of three games in which he batted .200. He was then used for the Delray Beach Lightning team in the South Florida Collegiate Baseball League. Neto played in 40 games and hit .439, six home runs, ten doubles, and 32 RBIs.
He started all 44 games for the Campbell Fighting Camels in the Big South Conference. In 44 games, he hit .405 with 12 homers, 58 RBIs, and 17 doubles. He played 16 games in the Cape Cod Baseball League with the Brewster Whitecaps.
In 16 games, he hit .304 with three home runs, 10 RBIs, and four doubles. He also played for the North Adams team in the NECFL (New England Collegiate Baseball League). Zack was named the 2021 Big South Player of the Year and All-Big South First Team. Zach was named a third-team All-America freshman.
He appeared in 53 games and started 53 times as a shortstop. In 53 games, he hit .407 with 15 homers, 50 RBIs, and 23 doubles. He went on to play for the Tri-City Dust Devils of the High-A Northwest League. Neto played seven games with the Tri-City team, battling at .200 with a home run and four RBIs.
He was later promoted to play for the Rocket City Trash Pandas of the Double-A Southern League. Zach Neto played 30 games with Rocket City and hit .320 with four homers, nine doubles, and 23 RBIs. He was the 2022 Big South Player of the Year.
