Brooke McCubbin was born on May 14, 2003, to Brian and Hollie McCubbin. She attended Locust Grove High School and lives in Locust Grove. Brooke won the 2019 GACA State Pitcher of the Year, 2019 GADC State 5A Player of the Year, 2020 Georgia Gatorade Softball Player of the Year, and two consecutive Region Pitcher of the Year Awards (2018, 2019) before enrolling at Clemson.
In 2022, she was named a “Top Newcomer to Watch” in softball by the ACC. In 18 missions in the circle, including six starts, she won five victories. Brooker hit a season-best 5.1 innings against Northwestern. She later scored a season-high five against Winthrop.
She recorded two saves, one against Mercer on March 9 and the other against North Carolina on April 3. On February 11, she had four tackles that season, including three against Texas.
