Hoda Muthana is an American-born woman who emigrated from the United States and arrived in Syria in November 2014 to join ISIS. She surrendered to coalition forces fighting with ISIS in Syria in January 2019. She was also denied entry to the United States after a US court ruling barred or denied her American citizenship. At the time of her birth, Hoda’s father was a diplomat of Yemen. So originally it belongs to Yemen.
Hoda Muthana early life
Hoda Muthana was born on October 28, 1994 in Hackensack, New Jersey. Her father was a Yemeni diplomat, although it is still disputed whether his father was a diplomat at the time of Muthana’s birth or had resigned months earlier. Hoda Muthana grew up in Hoover, Alabama. She attended Hoover High School before leaving the United States to join ISIS in November 2014.
Interview
Muthana appeared for an interview with Buzzfeed. Her father and one of her friends also contacted her in 2015. They reported that when her father gifted her a cell phone, she first created a Twitter account that her parents did not know about and which eventually gained wide popularity or even thousands of followers. The friends who showed up for the interview said she may have been one of the few people they knew both in real life and on Twitter. Buzzfeed maintained the friends’ privacy from the other media outlets. Muthana also revealed that there was a chasm between her real life and the person who carries her on Twitter. Both of her personalities claim that she has worn modest jilbābs and abayas since the eighth grade, where she had recently adopted modest dress.

Personal life
Muthana first married her husband Rahman, who was killed in Syria in March 2015. She later married a Tunisian fighter a second time, with whom she has a son. Muthana’s second husband was also killed in fighting in Mosul in 2017, prompting her to flee from Raqqa to Mayadin and later to Hajin, finally moving to Shafa in eastern Syria. After that, she married another man for the third time, but divorced her soon around this time.
Muthana befriended Kimberly Gwen Polman (by the time the jihadi enclave had shrunk to a few square miles), who became a dual Canadian-American citizen. Things became unconditional to them then. Both partners later agreed to flee the enclave. Muthana fled Shafa and surrendered to American forces on January 10, 2019. Both Polman and Muthana were housed in an Al-Hawl refugee camp in Syria. The couple later expressed a desire to return to the United States.
Controversy
In December 2014, Muthana married Australian jihadist Suhan Rahman. His husband’s name was Abu Jihad Al-Australi. Once on Twitter, Muthana endorsed the terrorist attack against civilians in the United States. She also encouraged the admission of ordinary people into ISIS-controlled territory and support for the caliphate. Later, The Guardian reported that Muthana’s Twitter account was hacked. In an interview with ABC News on February 19, 2019, Muthana was asked about her Twitter notifications reporting the killing of Americans at Veterans Day and Memorial Day parades. Responding to that statement, Muthana said, “I can’t even believe I thought of that.”
Recently, Muthana was in the news for filing a SCOTUS complaint with the US Supreme Court, where the court denied her appeal. She wanted to return to the United States and has been trying since 2019. The judges dismissed the appeal without comment on Monday, January 10, 2022. Not only did Hoda Muthana grow up in a strictly Muslim household, but she also left the US and joined the Islamic State in Syria when she was 19.
Hoda Muthana’s net worth
Due to security issues, we are unable to determine the exact amount of Muthana’s net worth. She appears to belong to ISIS and joined early in her adulthood. But it is certain that she leads a rather humble life.
