Lon Rosen (born 1959) is one of the leading executives in the sports and entertainment industry and is currently Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of the Los Angeles Dodgers and a former Executive Vice President of Magic Johnson Enterprises. Lon Rosen was born in Southern California in 1959, but his actual date of birth is unknown. Also, no information about his parents and siblings is revealed to the public. Lon Rosen Career
While still a student at USC, Rosen did an internship with the Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Kings in 1980-81, where he began his sports career with the NBA’s Los Angeles Lakers and the NHL’s Los Angeles Kings. Kings and the Los Angeles Forum Special Events for seven years after his graduation (1980-87). In 1985 he began working as Magic Johnson’s personal agent while still working at the Forum.
Rosen joined the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2004 as executive vice president and chief marketing officer. Rosen worked at the Lagardère Group until late 2010 but also focused on business development and marketing for Magic Johnson Enterprises after leaving the Dodgers in 2006. Lon returned to the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2010 where he was responsible for marketing, sales, advertising, communications, community affairs and government relations.
From there he founded First Team Marketing, a sports marketing firm with Earvin “Magic” Johnson as his first client, Rose, who has over 25 years of experience in the field and was instrumental in the purchase of Magic Johnson and the Dodgers. In addition to representing broadcasters, coaches, presenters and other entertainment celebrities, Rosen focused his efforts for Magic Johnson on business development, television production, sports consulting and new media projects.
