Maye Musk is a Canadian-South African American model, dietitian and author. She is the mother of Elon Musk, Kimbal Musk, and Tosca Musk. Maye has been pursuing her career as a model since she was 15 and it has been more than 50 years. She has appeared on the covers of magazines including a health edition of Time Magazine, international editions of Vogue, Women’s Day, and Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.
Early life
Maye Haldeman was born in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada on 19th April 1948. Maye Musk was a twin and one of her mother’s five children. She was very young when her family moved to Pretoria, South Africa in 1950, where her parents, named Winnifred Josephine “Wyn” (Fletcher) and Dr. Joshua Norman Haldeman developed their trades and later flew with the family while touring the world on a propeller plane in 1952.

In 1970, at the age of 22, she married Errol Musk, who was just two years her senior and whom she had met in high school. Errol Musk was a South African engineer who fathered three children he shared with Maye Musk. It was after marriage that Maye went on to get her Masters in Dietetics at the University of the Orange Free State in South Africa. She later earned another master’s degree in nutrition and received a certificate from the University of Toronto.
