Shooting at Texas High School

According to reports and police officials, the suspect first posted some pictures of a gun and a man with a gun magazine on Instagram, killed his grandmother and later entered the school to kill students – all on his 18th birthday.

The suspect was known to be a Uvalde High School student who shot children in grades 2 through 4 and two other adult teachers named Irma Garcia and Eva Mireles who taught fourth grade.

Lt. Chris Olivarez, spokesman for the Texas Department of Public Safety, told the Daily Beast that as soon as he entered the school, he began shooting massively, killing children, teachers and anyone who got in his way.

It was reportedly the suspect’s 18th birthday and he entered the school with two guns. The suspect, named Salvador Ramos, has a Tik Tok page with a profile that says “Kids be scared irl (in real life)”. He has been active on both Instagram and TikTok under the name TheBiggestOpp.

Late in the evening of May 24, 2022, police confirmed it was a massive shooting that killed 21 people, including 19 students and two teachers.

Social Media and Related Activities

Police have put together an Instagram page with guns and pictures believed to belong to the shooter. Although no details on the Instagram page were released, it was removed shortly after the shooting. The school’s page and those who knew the suspect took the help of social media to post about him.

There was an existing Instagram page called @salv8dor_ which was deleted immediately after Abbott announced the shooter’s name. The account was filled with just two pictures of a teenager meant to represent the shooter’s identity. He also appeared on Instagram with pictures of two guns.

Another image on Instagram showed a man holding a gun magazine on his lap. The report was corroborated by many reporters and it was determined that the suspect was one of the students at Uvalde High School.

On the other hand, several students came forward to talk about the Instagram page and they all said it belongs only to the suspect. One of the online friends told reporters that he once had an online live streaming chat at Yubo, in which he revealed that he had just bought some guns.

On the other hand, the website reported that the suspect showed one person a receipt for the gun, and the note was based on one of the Georgia companies that used to sell guns online.
