Early Life
Belmont Cameli was born on 28th February 1998, in Naperville, which is a suburb of Chicago. His family is of Italian-American descent, and in interviews about his background, his original surname was “Belmondo,” which was Americanized to “Belmont” after he immigrated to the United States.
Cameli had a passion for sports when he was a kid and remained competitive in athletics through high school. Sported on the football, wrestling, and volleyball teams at Naperville North High School. This sports awareness also served him well in his acting career in the areas of physical endurance and sporty roles.
Belmont was also early into performance and storytelling, in addition to sports. In middle school, he was a part of such stage productions as Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Footloose, which helped inspire his love for acting.
