Bethaney Keen Career
USF
In 2017, she led the team with 14 extra-base hits in the first game of her career, a two-run walk-off homer against Illinois State on opening day. With 412 putouts, she ranked 8th all-time at USF in a single season and was the team’s leader. Due to an injury in the 2018 season, she was unable to play in her sophomore year.
After that, she was one of only three players to start every game in her 2019 redshirt sophomore season. With a batting average of .283, she finished second on the team while competing in all of the club’s 60 competitions. Bethaney struggled in 37 runs, finishing second on the roster and having the most walks on the team with 22.
She had nine games with multiple hits, nine games with multiple RBIs, and her longest streak at baserunners. She played first base in all 49 games in 2021 and had a .299 batting average during that time. BK had nine games with multiple hits and five games with multiple RBIs. FSU
In 2022, she played 13 games with ten starts in her senior year before injuring herself and receiving a medical redshirt. Bethaney played in 13 games and had a .278 hit (5 of 18), a double, six RBI, and three runs scored. She defeated Mercer with an RBI 1-1.
Bethaney Keen had three RBI on two hits and two walks against Kennesaw State and two against UCLA No. 2. She scored two of two singles against Virginia in the doubleheader and hit an RBI single over the left field line in the 2023 run-rule win over Notre Dame.
In a doubleheader against Virginia on April 15, Bethaney scored twice and showed her skill by crossing home plate after two singles. Adding to her accomplishments, she successfully stole her first base as a Seminole on April 12 in a game against Jacksonville.
In an impressive performance against Syracuse on March 18, Bethaney hit a career-best performance with two doubles and two slap shots, underscoring her exceptional batting abilities. On February 18, she demonstrated her defensive prowess by hitting the best eight putouts of the season in a game against UCLA, demonstrating her reliable field skills. Bethaney made an impression early in the season on February 11, earning her first RBI of the season with a sacrifice flyout in a game against Longwood.
