Fani Willis is an American-based attorney from the state of Georgia. She is the Fulton County District Attorney and holds the title of the first woman eligible for the Fulton County District Attorney’s office.
Early life
Fani Willis was born on October 27, 1971. She attended Regina High School from 1985 to 1989. Fani gained her experience as a volunteer while working at We All Deserve Excellence (WAVE), to which she returned in January 2016. She is still associated with the NGO that supports programs for the homeless, especially children.
Fani received her bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Government from 1989 to 1993. During that time she was a member of the Golden Key National Honor Society. She also received her doctorate in law from Emory Law School (1993-1996).

Fani began her career as a contract attorney with The Kendall Law Firm from June 1996 to June 1997. For the next three years, she worked at another firm called Law Offices of Fani Willis, where she represented family law cases, children in Juveline Court, and miscellaneous other matters.
She had her private practice while working with companies like Fulton County District Attorney Office (for nine years) and Fulton County (for one year and two months) and she gave the best of the 17 years of her life for the company – Fulton County District Attorney while serving as Assistant District Attorney. She then ran for the Fulton County Superior Court circuit election, which lasted for five months. But she lost the election and remained committed to her other legal position at the Atlanta-based firm.
After that, she was elected District Attorney for Fulton County in 2020, defeating her former boss Paul Howard Jr. According to her LinkedIn profile, she says that she has seen the career line of nearly 24 years where she has to go through different processes, cases, attorney positions and looked after clients in civil, domestic, juvenile, family and criminal matters.
Investigations into Trump’s campaign investigation
The Atlanta-based special jury tasked with investigating Trump’s efforts to overturn the 2020 election has completed its studies. Judge Robert McBurney upheld the conclusion and stamped the two-page order issuing the final reports. The special grand jury will also consider or recommend whether or not the 2020 election and Trump’s reversal of the decision violated state law.
Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis accepts responsibility for other decisions in this trial regarding the presentation of the panel’s findings to a regular grand jury. On the other hand, additional legal position holders such as former Justice Department prosecutor Andrew Weissmann and former US Attorney Barbara McQuade reacted against Fani Willis’ jury and finalized the conclusion of Trump’s election investigation.
