Kainalu Moya, also known as Kai Moya, is an American actor known for his role as Blue Dino Fury Ranger in the 2021 Netflix original series Power Rangers Dino Fury. He has also acted in other television productions but has only recently gained recognition.
Early life
Kainalu Moya was born on August 15, 1997, in Kaneohe, Oahu, Hawaii. He grew up with his parents in Oahu and is known to be of mixed ethnicity. He is a mix of Japanese, Chinese, Filipino, and Hawaiian descent. However, he did not reveal the names of his parents or other family members. Kai is known to have partially completed his schooling in Hawaii and Washington DC, eventually graduating from Castle High School. He later attended college while simultaneously participating in theater and drama. However, he did not finish college and went to LA to pursue acting.
Kainalu Moya career
Kainalu started his acting career in 2015 in the show Chaldea playing the role of Manzial. Later, in 2018, he landed the role of Christopher Kaliko on the Hawaii Five-0 show and a short film titled Blinkers in the same year. He played the role of Grant in the 2018 short film. Apart from that, he has also been part of various commercials for brands like Gatorade, etc.
In recent years he has been cast in the role of a student in the series Saved by the Bell 2020 and also got his break in the Power Rangers Dino Fury show in 2021. The role has garnered him critical acclaim in a short amount of time and the show is currently in its first season on Netflix. Kai has been cast in the role of Ollie Akana, the Blue Dino Fury Ranger, and will also appear on the show in the confirmed second season. The show will also air on the Nickelodeon channel on February 20th.
